By accessing or using SFBayWeather ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SFBayWeather is a free weather exploration tool that displays real-time weather data, comfort scores, and historical climate information for destinations in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Service is provided "as is" and is intended for informational and recreational purposes only.

3. Weather Data Disclaimer

Weather data is sourced from the National Weather Service, NOAA, Open-Meteo, and other third-party providers. While we strive for accuracy, weather forecasts are inherently uncertain. You should not rely solely on this Service for safety-critical decisions including but not limited to:

• Outdoor activities in hazardous conditions
• Travel planning during severe weather events
• Marine or aviation navigation
• Emergency preparedness or evacuation decisions

Always consult official NWS warnings and local authorities for safety-related weather information.

4. Comfort Scores

Comfort scores are algorithmically generated based on weather conditions and are subjective in nature. Individual preferences for temperature, wind, and other conditions vary widely. Comfort scores should be treated as general guidance, not definitive assessments.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service
• Attempt to interfere with the Service's infrastructure
• Redistribute weather data obtained from the Service for commercial purposes
• Misrepresent data from the Service as official weather forecasts

6. Intellectual Property

The Service's design, code, comfort scoring algorithms, and original content are the property of SFBayWeather. Weather data sourced from government agencies (NWS, NOAA) is in the public domain. Map tiles are provided by OpenStreetMap contributors under the ODbL license.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SFBayWeather and its operators shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to damages resulting from reliance on weather data or comfort scores.

8. Availability

We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times. Weather data updates depend on third-party APIs that may experience outages. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect and use information.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
